Clever Clients at the Robin Hood win the prize for IRHH
Regular IRHH supporters, Terry Johnson and Stuart Canham, at the Robin Hood pub in Tring entered the Mix96 pub quiz fully expecting to be knocked out in the early rounds. Much to their surprise they made it through to the final where they were pitched against The Dairy Maid - a large quiz team with an excellent reputation. The odds were not looking good for the Merry Men of the Robin Hood, especially as many of the team had been partying into the early hours the night before. However, Stuart's bacon rolls revived the weary brain cells and the Robin Hood team swept to victory by a clear margin. Their prize, a magnificent, £1000 was presented to Liz Clarke of IRHH at the Robin Hood last week during an evening of celebrations when the pub also received an award from CAMRA.
One of the quiz team was celebrating his 60 th birthday on the Sunday that the quiz took place. He described winning the £1000 for IRHH as his best birthday present.
