Party Raises £2,200 in Recognition of Nursing Care

150 family and friends of Janis Theocharides recently gathered in Hemel Hempstead at a party held in her memory on what would have been her 50th birthday. With a venue kindly donated by Hemel Hempstead Football Club and DJ Steve Wright providing a free disco, the evening has raised a wonderful £2,200 for IRHH.

The organisation of the evening was very much a family affair, carried out by Janis's sisters, Linda and Claire, together with her daughter Faye. Janis's son Scott was MC for the evening. In addition to the disco, entertainment was provided by Faye, together with Nicola and Andrew Munroe, whose mother was also cared for by IRHH nurses. Despite being emotional at times, all who attended to remember and celebrate Janis's life had a great evening, which we have been told would also have been enjoyed by Janis if she had been there.

The family have praised the care and support given to Janis and her family by IRHH nurses from the Dacorum Team. Our thanks go to Linda, Claire and Faye for raising such a substantial sum of money in recognition of our service and for making a big difference in helping to ensure that the level of care they have received continues locally.
