A Tring resident has found a novel way of collecting money for IRHH.
Sue Littler keeps a 2ft tall plastic Coke bottle in the downstairs toilet of her house in Grove Road and encourages anyone who uses the loo to spend more than a penny. Sue started collecting for IRHH in 1995 after a friend was cared for by the Iain Rennie Nurses, and so far has raised an amazing £1000.
Sue explains: "I started the idea as a bit of a joke when I had some friends round one evening, but decided to stick with it and I'm really pleased to have collected so much over the years. It's a really easy way to help a fantastic cause and I would encourage anyone else to do something similar!"
IRHH can supply compact cardboard collecting boxes which are ideal for anyone who wishes to put their loose change to good use or set up a scheme similar to Sue's innovative idea. The boxes can be collected from your house when they are full and are available from the IRHH Appeals Team on 01442 890222 or by clicking here.
