A Fabulous time for All at the Ball!

On 12th July Allan Westray, High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire and Iain Rennie Patron, and his wife Annabel kindly hosted a ball in aid of Iain Rennie Hospice at Home, Ellesborough Church and Great Kimble School . A large marquee in their delightful garden was decorated in a colour scheme of lime green and white with stunning floral displays created by co-organiser Gabrielle Montgomery.

Guests enjoyed pink fizz and canapés followed by a hog roast. The bottle tombola was a sell out and the auctioneer Jenny Gilbert generated £2600 from a very receptive audience for 9 lots which included a tour of the BBC studios with IRHH patron Bill Turnbull, a holiday in Salcombe and a red carpet night at the National Television Awards. Shane Lamont and his accompanying 3 piece band went down a storm with the dance floor packed from beginning to end plus several encores.

In total the ball raised around £6000 for the 3 beneficiaries. We are grateful to everyone who contributed and made the occasion such an enjoyable and resounding success either by helping towards the organisation, donating prizes...
