Fawley Railway Experience
A super day for train enthusiasts was held on Sunday 26th July when Sir William McAlpine allowed IRHH the use of his wonderful steam engine. Folk happily rode aboard and enjoyed the sooty experience!
The museum and model train exhibitions also amazed the 300 people who attended. We were blessed with fine weather and the High Wycombe and Amersham fundraising team served cream teas in the real station. Huge fun, hard work but a good profit for the Iain Rennie funds. Some lucky folk were allowed to ride on the footplate, one of these was one of our original nurses Daphne Vessey and from the look of joy on her face you can all get just a taste of the great day we all had.
