New volunteer vacancies
IRHH is in need of patient support volunteers in the following roles: Complementary Therapists, Bereavement Visitors and Drivers.
Complementary Therapists : we are looking to recruit Aromatherapists, Reflexologists, Massage Therapists, CranioSacral Therapists and Reiki Practitioners with 1 or 2 years post qualification experience who would be able to offer half a day a week. A full induction and education programme is offered plus ongoing support in relation to this specialist care to suitable practitioners.
Additional Volunteer Drivers are needed to join our existing team of drivers who provide transport, using their own car, to clients receiving bereavement support to social support groups and patients to various hospital appointments.
"Our patient support volunteers provide essential support to our patients and their families" explains Rozina Ahmad , Voluntary Services Manager, "and we simply could not run our service to the same extent without the support of all our volunteers."
