Hawaii Comes to Wilkinsons
Last weekend Wilkinsons stores across the country participated in a range of Hawaiian themed fundraising activities. Staff at Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury & High Wycombe raised funds for Iain Rennie Hospice at Home, their local Children's Hospices UK partner.
In Aylesbury staff wore colourful garlands with a few braver ladies including Toni, Jayne & Zoe, sporting grass skirts too. Charity Co-ordinator Helen organised bag-packing volunteers.
Hemel Hempstead 's Assistant Manager Beavan Conniff explained that the Wilkinsons are "passionate about pulling together and everyone joined in". "Staff stayed at the store until 9pm decorating and everyone donated cakes" added Samantha. Charlotte Anthony & Clare Flitton organised activities helped by Ryan Anthony, Samantha Best & Charlene Roberts. Amy Sawyer and Lee Stubbs ran a tombola stall whilst Sandra Smith & Sam Scott were voted the best dressed employees. A display of Hula dancing and a limbo competition added to the day's colourful fun.
