Keen golfers recently attended the 17th annual Rotary of Berkhamsted Bulbourne Golf Day, held at Mentmore Golf and Country Club. With both old and new teams entered, some from far afield, this popular event raised a wonderful £1,773, continuing the success of the Rotary in organising this day.
The Rosebury course is highly regarded by golfers and teams were not disappointed with their play in the 18 hole team Stableford competition. Although the wind was a little strong at times, the rain stayed away to ensure uninterrupted play. Several individual prizes were also on offer, including longest drive, closest to the pin and guess the number of lost balls, with winners being announced in the evening after a delicious rolling buffet.
A raffle during the evening raised £505, confirming the generosity of those attending the event. Robert Breakwell joined the guests after the buffet, helping present the prizes and providing a short talk about the work of IRHH.
Thanks go to the Rotary Club, and particularly Tom Ritchie for organising the day and choosing to again support IRHH.
