Memorial Woodland in Wendover
IRHH is delighted to have been given the use of one acre of land in Wendover on which to develop a new memorial woodland. The site is slightly elevated from the village, in an area of outstanding beauty.
IRHH Fundraiser, Linda Petrons, said: "Views from the site stretch far across the Chilterns area, and we are sure it will be a beautiful place to visit, reflect and remember - a wonderful legacy for future generations. The trees, British Native saplings, will be planted in three phases and we are working hard to ensure the area is ready for the first phase of planting in February 2010 which will be followed by a dedication ceremony and picnic later in the year when the trees will be in leaf."
