Grease Lightning 50's Night at Rennie HighRennie High was the place to be on Saturday 28th November. The Curzon Centre in Beaconsfield was scarcely recognisable, spectacularly decked out from top to tail in a mile and a half of red and white streamers and matching balloons.
Most of the 140 guests arrived in amazing 50's costumes - as the room filled there was a sea of polka dots, bobby socks, teddy boy jackets with matching crepe shoes and a number of would be Elvis's!

Following a 3 course 50's themed dinner the King and Queen of the Prom were crowned and the band, Nick Bennett's Bootleg Buccaneers took to the stage and began their lively set with renditions of "Lucille" and "That'll be the Day". The dance floor was soon filled and a colourful conga wound its way around the room.

The evening, organised by Iain Rennie's Beaconsfield Fundraising Group, raised a fantastic £5000! This included £650 from the raffle and £545 generously donated by guests to take part in Elvis's special game of Over's and Unders.
