David's Kilimanjaro Climb Earlier this year David Salisbury found himself agreeing to take on a challenge of a lifetime, to climb Kilimanjaro along with his brother and a group of friends.
In October 2009 the intrepid explorers set off to Tanzania to embark on an adventure which would culminate at the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.
David said, "We had a fantastic trip, great weather, great company and best of all we made the summit whilst raising over £5000 for the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home".
David used the website JustGiving to raise most of sponsorship and asked punters from his local pub for a little extra when they bought a drink!
Money raised from adventures like these are vital for the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home which costs more than £3.5 million a year to run, and with only 12% of funding coming from the Government sponsorship money from events really help to keep their nurses on the road.
