Charity night at The Akeman

The Akeman restaurant in Tring held a fundraising dinner for IRHH on Sunday 18th October with all food and service donated in exchange for a £35 meal ticket.  The restaurant was filled to capacity with 100 people helping to raise over £3,500.

The restaurant was buzzing in true Akeman style and the feedback during and after the evening has been full of praise.  Peter and Raffaele have a strong professional team with Sarah and Kirsty pulling out all the stops for the pre-dinner preparations and overseeing the staff.  Chef Mark and his team presented a delicious three course meal and the service was excellent.

A two-piece band lead by Vaughan Rance welcomed guests and at 9.00pm IRHH Chief Executive Robert Breakwell gave a short speech and drew the complimentary raffle prizes.

IRHH Fundraiser, Jenny Moloney, said:  "Iain Rennie Hospice at Home is most appreciative of the ongoing support by one of Tring's most innovative companies - Oakman Inns. The money raised will help maintain the high standards of palliative nursing care that we offer, free of charge on a 24 hour on-call basis, to patients within the Chilterns area."
