Sandy Lodge Golf Club in Northwood was the venue for a recent Golf Day held in memory of Clive Waugh, which raised in the region of £16,000 for IRHH. With the sun shining on a bright September morning, over 100 people arrived to pay tribute to a very popular golfer.
Clive had been connected with Sandy Lodge for over 15 years, both as a keen golfer and a behind the scenes stalwart. With links with the Northwood 41 Club, Sandy Lodge Rabbits and Old Chenies Golfing Society, it was testament to his popularity that so many family and friends turned out to remember Clive in this fitting way.

With team and individual competitions held throughout the day, and a raffle and auction held during dinner, the amount raised is truly wonderful. By all accounts, some fierce bidding in the auction helped to generate substantial amounts for several of the lots on offer. Robert Breakwell and Brian Fowler , IRHH Ambassador, attended the evening, with Brian providing a short presentation and Robert closing with a few words of thanks.
Gina Waugh, wife of Clive, received much support from people in all different fields and was obviously pleased with not only the turnout for the day but in the amount raised for IRHH. Our thanks go to Gina and the close friends, including Maxine Evans, who helped her to organise this event to raise funds in recognition of the service provided to Clive and his family by the IRHH nurses.
