A recent Harpsichord Recital, organised by Graham Smallbone in memory of his daughter Claire Dakin, raised a wonderful £1,875 for IRHH. Family friend, internationally acclaimed harpsichordist, Douglas Hollick, performed a variety of Keyboard Music of the Golden Age on the harpsichord he built himself 20 years ago.

Music throughout the evening included work by Purcell, Bach, Handel, Moyreau and Haydn. A receptive and appreciative audience not only enjoyed the performance, provided free of charge by Douglas , but were also intrigued to learn about this very special instrument.
Graham chose to organise this Recital as a special event for Claire's family and friends, as well as helping to raise funds for IRHH, as she had been cared for by nurses from our Ridgeway Team. Claire's children helped to sell raffle tickets during the evening and additional support was provided by Bill Giles , who introduced the programme. The amount raised from the evening will help to fund over 18 days of specialist nursing care throughout the Chilterns area.
