TV personality Fern Britton launched the Chilterns Big Brew for IRHH earlier this summer. The Big Brews held locally have ranged from garden parties to cream teas and luncheons.
Now we are urging local residents to make the most of the remaining summer and host their own Big Brews to help raise more funds for the Iain Rennie nursing service.
Fern says: "I'm delighted to be supporting IRHH and I think the Chilterns Big Brew is a great way for everyone to lend their support by indulging in one of their favourite pastimes! IRHH ensure as much of their fundraising as possible goes straight to funding nurses, so it's great to think that if your Big Brew raises £150 you and your friends will have helped fund an Iain Rennie nurse for a whole day - so your afternoon tea and cake really will make a world of difference."
Head of Fundraising Helen Mariner adds: "We know from our patients and their carers that every hour spent at home surrounded by loved ones is priceless - so please help us offer even more patients the choice to be cared for at home.
"The Chilterns Big Brew is a great way to raise funds - and a great excuse to invite a few of your friends round for tea or coffee and cakes! For those who prefer a different 'brew' - why not host an event in your local pub? It's so easy to do, but can make such a difference to families living locally who have been affected by terminal illness."
