Penn & Tylers Green Village Care provide a free transport service for anyone living in the parish who needs help getting to a destination, for medical purposes. The service is free, and run by a team of some 75 volunteers. Donations made by people using the service go towards the running costs and charities chosen by the committee. Money is also raised from an annual Open Gardens day in the summer.
Stephen Biggs, IRHH Communications Officer, said: "We are very grateful to Penn & Tylers Green Village Care for supporting us from the money they've raised. Just like Iain Rennie Hospice at Home, they provide an essential service in their community, which proves invaluable to many local residents. In difficult times of illness or injury, organisations like ours can make a real difference to people's lives on a day-to-day basis and our services couldn't survive without the support of people in the community, whether that's financial support or as a volunteer."
