150 IRHH supporters descended on the Markova Theatre at Tring Park School for a recent IRHH charity performance of The Boy Friend. Performed by sixth form students on the Musical Theatre Course, the audience were entertained with a dazzling display of talent from these aspiring stars of the future.
'Brilliant', 'fun', 'energetic', 'stylish', 'evoked the era', 'fantastic'! Just a few of the words used by the appreciative audience to sum up their experience of what really was a most enjoyable and entertaining evening, courtesy of these talented students.
This is the third performance from which IRHH have benefitted, with previous shows having been 'Hot Mikado' and 'Copacabana'. A performance of 'Crazy For You' was unfortunately cancelled last year due to snow so all concerned were relieved this year that the recent flurry of snow didn't escalate into another episode of disruption and cancellation!
IRHH would like to thank Stefan Anderson, Principal of Tring Park School and his team for generously donating the proceeds from this special performance to IRHH. The evening has raised a fantastic £1,340 from ticket sales, a raffle and donations, which will provide over 8 days of specialist nursing care. A total of £3,270 has been raised from performances at the School in the past four years.
Special thanks also go to the Manager of the IRHH Tring shop, Michelle Remice, her team of shop volunteers and Peggy Bainbridge for their assistance in selling a large proportion of tickets for this performance.
