The Beaconsfield Fundraising Group recently held their 12th Burns Night Supper, which once again proved to be a successful evening, both in terms of providing an enjoyable evening for guests and in the amount of money raised for IRHH.
Over £6,600 was raised from this event, helped by an auction of rare whiskies, a visit to McLaren and a beautiful knitted throw, made by ladies who attended the Knitting Bee workshop organised by the Group earlier in January. The throw, pictured here, achieved a fantastic £500 and will no doubt be treasured by the lucky recipient.
Ann Turley of the Beaconsfield Group reported that the Burns Night was a wonderful evening with 160 people having enjoyed delicious food provided by Anne Tennant and a night of dancing to Ian Robertson and his band. Ann also mentioned that 'it was good to see a new younger element taking part'.
No Burns Night would be complete without the traditional celebrations. Pictured here are Wilson Phillips, the piper, Colin Clarkson, who 'addressed' the haggis and Colin Schnadhorst who paraded the haggis.
