Jewson Amersham raises vital funds For IRHH
Staff at Jewson Amersham branch are planning to hold a Help the Hospices charity day on Tuesday 22 nd June in aid of IRHH, their local hospice. The day will include a range of events including a customer van wash, cake sale and a celebrity guest appearance, yet to be revealed!
July 2009 was the launch of the partnership between Help the Hospices & Jewson, which saw all 500 of the Jewson branches twinned with their local hospice.
Over the past year the partnership has achieved great results. So far over £100,000 has been collectively raised through the 'together' partnership across Saint-Gobain Building Distribution, parent company of Jewson. Through the alliance, Jewson has been able to offer its resources and skills and has activated Jewson trade accounts for all the twinned hospices to enable them to benefit from the most competitive prices for their building materials and to help make funding go further.
Richard Hulme, Jewson Amersham Branch Manager comments: "We were delighted to be able to raise this money for our local hospice Iain Rennie Hospice at Home, which provides an invaluable service to the local community. What's more, it was a great opportunity for staff, suppliers and families alike to share in the experience, whether by taking part or donating, and have fun together at the same time."
