Ladies Captain generates £5,400 for IRHH

IRHH recently received a cheque for the wonderful sum of £5,400 from Janeta Kling, the 2009 Ladies Captain at Oakland Park Golf Club in Chalfont St Giles. Janeta chose IRHH as her Charity of the Year as thanks for the care provided to her husband and the support extended to her and her daughter by IRHH nurses, particularly those who provided bereavement support.
During her year as Captain, Janeta organised a variety of fundraising events and was delighted, not only with the amount raised, but the support received from fellow lady members. With events ranging from a Captains Drive-in, Lady Captains Day, loose change collection, Grandmothers Cup, a Knock-on-Wood penalty and ending with the Turkey Trot, Janeta was certainly kept busy with planning, preparation and involvement in the activities. Despite working so hard to raise funds for IRHH, we are pleased to hear that Janeta's golf didn't suffer throughout the year as we have been informed that she was named as the 2009 lady golfer with the most reduced handicap - quite an achievement we think and worth mentioning!
On summing up her year as Captain, Janeta addressed those present at the AGM by saying what a happy and friendly atmosphere there had been all year and thanking them for all their support and generosity, ending with "Ladies you're simply the best."

'We would like to thank Janeta for choosing to support IRHH and for raising valuable funds for us in this way. Thanks go to everyone who supported Janeta by taking part in the events she organised and in giving so generously to help raise such a fantastic sum for us'.
