Bill's Big Quiz is the bees knees! Bill Turnbull was the star attraction at the IRHH Big Quiz in Wendover Memorial Hall on Friday 14th May. The IRHH Patron reprised his role from last year and used his BBC presenting skills in the role of quizmaster, asking questions set by Alex Noall.
114 supporters turned out for the evening, and competition was fierce amongst the 18 teams. As well as asking the questions, Bill handed out on-the-spot fines to anyone who "mis-behaved" by disputing answers or not handing in their answers on time. IRHH Ambassador Russ Brown gave a talk in the interval, and ran a "Heads or Tails" game with the winner receiving a signed copy of Bill's new book " The Bad Beekeeper's Club: How I Stumbled into the Curious World of Bees - and Became (perhaps) a Better Person" (available in all good bookshops!). Everyone enjoyed a lovely ploughman's supper, and a raffle added to the total raised.

Congratulations to the eventual winners - the Horton family - and to everyone who took part and raised over £1,000 towards the IRHH nursing service.

Event organisers Linda Petrons and Ruth Barber would like to thank all the volunteers who helped before, during and after the quiz - and look forward to welcoming everyone again at our next Big Quiz in the autumn.
