The picturesque village of Jordans, near Beaconsfield, was the setting for the first weekend of IRHH's 2010 Open Gardens Scheme.
IRHH President Moira Rennie was among the 300+ people who visited the five gardens open to the public on Sunday 9th May, and the dry weather meant that everyone could wander around at their leisure and enjoy the sights and smells of the privately-owned gardens, whilst raising money for a good cause.
The local village hall sold an array of delicious homemade cakes and other refreshments, and a wide variety of plants, and together with the entry fees the day raised £2,612 for IRHH.
IRHH Community Fundraiser, Joanne Hunt , said: "We were delighted with the response to our first open garden this summer, and would like to thank our Beaconsfield Fundraising Group for all their hard work, especially Sue Lynch, Lorraine Johnson and Jenny Topping. There are many more gardens opening throughout the summer, so do come along and enjoy them with us."
A brochure detailing all of the dates and gardens is available from all IRHH shops or by calling 01442 890222 - or click here to download a copy.
