Team Ercol
Team members from Princess Risborough based furniture makers, Ercol, have completed their challenge of taking Windsor to Wales !
Their mission was accomplished on Saturday 18 September when the ten intrepid athletes representing Team Ercol arrived in Wales amidst rain and strong winds to face up to the Welsh mountains and take up their challenge; to carry all of the components of the famous Ercol Windsor chair up to the 1085 metre summit of Snowdon and complete its successful and fully functional assembly!
The challenge was set up as a token of support to a seriously ill colleague as team member Mike Platt explains: “One of our colleagues has recently been diagnosed with a serious illness. As a token of our support for him and family, we wanted to organise a charity fundraising event. We asked him to nominate a charity of his choice and he chose Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care.”
To date the team have raised in excess of an amazing £6000. Thank you and well done!
