Would you like to offer support first hand?
Home Visitors both befriend and provide practical support to patients and their carers at a difficult time in their lives. Volunteers will sit with patients allowing the carers to go out for a much needed break or they will visit, offering some friendly support and maybe take the patient out on a short trip.
Training and support will be given. Volunteers are not expected to have any particular experience but should be sensitive to the needs of seriously ill patients and their families. Usually, two or three hours / week are required.
The next course will not be until 2012 or later but please contact us if you would like to register your interest in this role.
