If you are interested in joining our team then please contact Rozina Ahmad, our Voluntary Services Manager, rahmad@irhh.org or call 01494 877200, for an informal chat. We will discuss your interests and skills and our aim is to match these skills with the needs of IRHH. We hope that by matching each volunteer to a role you will be able to get the most from your volunteer experience.
How much time do I need to give?
This will be discussed during your chat with Rozina. Different roles require different levels of commitment! We will do our best to find a suitable role to fit with the time you have available.
Do I need to complete any forms?
We ask all our volunteers to complete our volunteer application form so we have accurate records of all our volunteers. The names of two referees are required for all our roles and certain roles will require a Criminal Records Bureau check (CRB).
What’s next?
All our volunteer roles have a dedicated line manager who they can go to for support and advice. Once references have been received and any other paperwork completed, your line manager will contact you to arrange a start date with you.
What training will I receive?
All our volunteers are invited to attend one of our Jigsaw Information Sessions which is an induction to our service. You will learn all about the organisation and meet staff and other volunteers.
Some roles require you to attend a course/induction and for other roles you will learn “on the job” with the help of your line manager or an experienced volunteer.
